Wu-Chain: 36 Traphouses
A mashup mixtape that blends the gritty wisdom of Wu-Tang Clan with the trap-heavy swagger of 2 Chainz. This culture-bending project reimagines classic bars and beats, bridging Shaolin and the South in a bold sonic collision that pays homage to both legends while creating something entirely new. The project was part of the marketing strategy promoting A3C and Atlanta's celebration of Wu-Tang Clan.
Origin
This project was one of dozens of smaller (and larger) ways we celebrated Wu-Tang Clan's 25th anniversary. I had the idea and was able to convince DJ Critical Hype to produce the project and then I was able to get the blessing and support of Wu-Tang and 2 Chainz, who provided audio track and marketing support.
Impact
The project premiered exclusively on Rolling Stone and was featured across dozens of top-tier national media outlets. It earned widespread critical acclaim, praised for its creativity and cultural relevance.
